I started this food blog in 2011 as a hobby. That time I did not have much knowledge about blogging or how to do it. I have done lot of mistakes and struggled with lot of technical issues. Finally, I think now I am more established as a Food Blogger with a good readership.(but still learning). Therefore it is time to share my ideas and resources I use among the other new Food Bloggers. I think this will be helpful if you think of starting a new Food Blog.
Resources for Food Bloggers
Here are my recommended products and services for a food blog.
(Please note this list contains some affiliate links. However I use these resources and are recommended by me for its purpose.)
Blogger – This is the platform I used to host Food Corner from the beginning to April 2015.It is free and easy to use.
WordPress.org- Finally I migrated the blog to WordPress. It is awesome! If you want to migrate your blogger blog to WordPress and need help,we do that for you for a small fee. 🙂
Domain name & Hosting
It is better to have your own custom domain from the beginning. This will avoid a lot of hard work later on. I purchased my domain name from GoDaddy.com!
However, for other domain names, I used Namecheap.com
Food Corner is hosted in Hostgator.com
I am writing a blog with tips for bloggers. I’ve already shared some useful posts in my other blog The Blogventures
Below are some of other recommended courses which can help you to improve your knowledge on blogging.
Most of the courses are free.
Monetizing the blog
I use various methods to monetize this blog. However, don’t focus on earning money. Instead deliver your best content and build up the readership.
I basically use Google Adsense.
Shareasale is one of the affiliate networks I work with.
Check this post to learn how to earn from Shareasale Affiliate Programme.
In this blog, you will also find product reviews and paid advertisements.
Other than above, I offer consultation, SEO services for bloggers for a small fee.Contact me if you want to know more about blogging.
