This rice recipe is delicious & it is good with a spicy curry & a salad. I found this as a good & quick recipe for busy wives.

This is how I prepare it.

Ingredients (for 2 person)
Rice 2 cups

Tomato 1 large size cut into pieces

1 medium size onion sliced

Garlic 2 cloves

¼ tsp Cumin seed

¼ tsp Fennel seed

2 cloves

1 cardamom

1 star anise

1 curry leaf

1/4 tsp turmeric powder

Oil to fry

Salt to taste

 
Method
Wash rice, drain and set it aside

Heat a pan
Add oil to the pan, When the oil get hot, add all spices except turmeric powder
Add  Sliced onions and curry leaf & mix well

When the onion become tender, add drained rice & mix well.

When the colour of rice start t turn brown & popping out,add tomato pieces to it.& mix well

Mix ,stir fry until tomato mix & well coat with rice.

Now add enough water to cook rice & cook it,or if not transfer to a rice cooker & cook.
When the rice is done,garnish & serve hot
