Green Peppercorn Pickle

Green Peppercorn Pickle is easy to make .This is a good way to preserve green peppercorns for later use.This pickle will add spice to your meal.

Equipment

  • Clean and dry glass bottle/jar with lid

Ingredients
  

  • 100 g green peppercorn with stem
  • 7 nos Lemons
  • 1/4 cup Salt or as per taste

Instructions
 

Step 1

  • Wash green peppercorn and drain water.
    Place the peppercorn strips on a kitchen towel and allow drying in air.
    Cut the peppercorns in stem in to 1-1.5 inch pieces.

Step 2

  • Squeeze the lemon juice into a dry clean glass bottle.
    Add salt to this juice and mix well.
    Once the peppercorns are air dried, add these green peppercorn stems into the bottle.
    You have to use lemon juice to fully cover the peppercorns.

Step 3

  • Cover the bottle. Mix well and keep in a cool place for around 10 days.
    Till the green peppercorn pickle is ready, you need to shake the bottle every day to mix the lemon juice with peppercorns.
    After few days you will see the colour change of green peppercorns.
    It is ready to serve.
    Enjoy as a condiment or use in salad recipe to add spiciness.

Notes

Use cleaned glass bottle to preserve the pickle.
You can keep the pickle for few days.
