Herbalife Ingredients Three P’s for Digestive Health – Proactive, Prebiotics, and Probiotics

written by Food Corner March 4, 2021
Herbalife Ingredients

Human beings have an amazing microbiome that is estimated to contain ten times more microbial cells than human cells. The human digestive tract is full of bacteria that is helpful to the human body. To maintain good health, the body works with these bacteria to digest food properly. Without the helpful bacteria, human life would not be possible.

The scientists at Herbalife Nutrition spent the past four decades since the company was founded in 1980, researching and formulating products made from high-quality ingredients that support digestive health.

Almost everyone experiences bad digestion from time to time and knows what it feels like. Symptoms include gas, bloating, stomach aches, nausea, heartburn, constipation, and, the reverse of that, diarrhea. Upset stomachs that are mild usually resolve on their own or with the help of over-the-counter medications.

Rather than wait until experiencing discomfort, it is wiser to strengthen the digestive system in advance by giving it what it needs to function well and avoid eating things that may cause problems.

The Three P’s — Being Proactive with Prebiotics and Probiotics

Taking a proactive stance to maintain vibrant digestive health helps avoid such problems. One key consideration is ingredient quality in the formulations of nutrition products that are consumed. It does little to improve and sustain digestive tract health when constantly eating low-quality things, like overly-processed “junk” food, which does not provide the proper nutrition.

A healthy diet contains the prebiotics necessary to help support the desirable bacteria (probiotics) for a properly functioning digestive system. Prebiotics are compounds found in food. The beneficial gut bacteria need them to thrive. Probiotics are the bacteria, such as a commonly recognized lactobacillus in yogurt.

Healthy Nutrition To Reduce Inflammation

For example, the human body cannot break down fiber on its own. Soluble fiber, such as the kind found in oats, is a probiotic that the gut bacteria like to eat. Using nutrition products that contain soluble fiber promotes the growth of beneficial bacteria.

Another type of fiber is called insoluble fiber. It comes from whole grains and the seeds or skins of fruits. This type of fiber passes through the system without being digested. It helps promotes regularity. Herbalife Nutrition products that contain both types of fiber are things to consider for managing digestive health to help the system run smoothly.

To have the benefits of helpful bacteria, they need to be found in the digestive tract in sufficient quantities. Taking a high-quality probiotic provides these beneficial bacteria to the system. In this way, prebiotics and probiotics work together to help maintain digestive health.

Achieving the Balance With Digestive Health

Every person is different. None of the nutrition products are intended to prevent, cure, or treat any disease. For health issues, consult with a qualified health practitioner. What nutrition products can do is be part of a diet that supports better digestive health.

When consuming nutrition products, be self-aware of the body’s changes. It is the best way to determine the benefits. A balanced diet is different for each person’s age, size, and gender. However, when quality Herbalife ingredients are used for nutrition products, there is a better chance of having a positive outcome.

Summary

The secret to having better digestive health is maintaining the proper balance of the microbiome in your digestive system. Nutrition products may help bring the system back into balance. Avoid non-nutritious foods and consume trusted products made from high-quality ingredients, such as those offered by Herbalife Nutrition.
