Foods To Put On Your Barbeque

One of the great things about living in Thailand is that apart from the rainy season which is a few months, the rest of the year is all sunshine and relaxation. This allows us to be able to have a barbecue any time that we want and it is an incredibly convenient way to prepare your food and to not have a lot of cleaning up afterwards. We are very family oriented here in Thailand, so this provides us with the perfect opportunity to enjoy our favourite food but to also catch up with what’s been happening in our lives.

There are a number of different foods that you can put on your barbecue for the best taste here in Thailand and one of them has to be ไส้กรอก commonly referred to as the faithful sausage. It is the one food item that you are guaranteed to enjoy every single time and kids love them especially. If you feel a barbecue coming on in your life then the following are some of the top foods that you might want to consider putting on there for a tasty experience.

Foods To Put On Your Barbeque
  1. Barbecue burgers – These suit the tastes of many Thai people because some of us like pork while others like beef and thankfully are readily available in both. If you like, you could make your own at home or just buy them from the local supermarket in town. Whatever you decide to do, put some cheese on the top and maybe some salad to add to the overall good taste.
  2. Put some shrimp on there – We love our seafood here in Thailand and we will take any opportunity to put shrimp on the barbecue. It is so easy to prepare and cook, and there will always be a rush to get to it first because it is so incredibly popular. Create some tasty dips for the ultimate taste experience.
  3. Tasty chicken – This continues to be a very popular choice with all Thai families the length and breadth of the country. Not only is it incredibly delicious but it is also very affordable and the price of chicken has remained quite low compared to other meat choices. You can enjoy chicken with so many things including boiled rice, a vast array of vegetables and once again, create your own spicy dips to liven it up a little.
  4. There have to be sausages – it was mentioned briefly before but it needs mentioning again because this is one of the tastiest foods that you can enjoy on any barbecue. They are readily available to purchase and there are many different kinds to choose from. It takes a little effort on your part to cook them and then you can eat them straight off the barbecue or put them inside some bread rolls. Put some tomato sauce, spicy sauce or some mayonnaise on there and you have food that is incredibly difficult to resist.

These are only three in a very long list of delicious foods that are available to us everywhere here in Thailand. The garnish is incredibly important, so maybe buy or prepare some coleslaw to give you that fast food experience but while still at home.
