Deep Fried Fish

written by Amila Gamage Wickramarachchi August 22, 2011

When we talk about fish recipes,we cannot avoid  talking about deep frying it.There are many methods to deep fry fish, even there are manny types of batter.
Here I am sharing a recipe which is very easy, but tasty.

Ingredients ( for about 4-5 fish pieces)
4-5    pieces
of fish
Salt To Taste
1 tbsp lemon juice
2 tbs  curry powder
1 tbs chilly powder
ΒΌ tsp turmeric powder
1 tbsp Corn Flour
1 tsp pepper
oil for deep frying
Method
Clean & wash fish pieces & keep aside
Mix all above spice ingredients in a bowl.Add water &
make a very thick batter just to make it bit runny.
Mix fish into it & marinate.
If you are in rush to make it,at least keep to marinate for
about 20 minutes.
If not; mix the spice batter with fish, cover it & keep
in the fridge for few hours.
Before frying, allow it to cool for room temperature.
Heat oil in  a pan & deep fry fish turning both sides.
Remove it from pan when it is golden brown.
Serve hot
