Looking for another way to enjoy your strawberries? Check out this recipe.

Why You Need Strawberries in Your Diet

We all know that fruits and vegetables are good for our diet. Strawberries, in particular, have a lot of health benefits that everyone can enjoy. They are full of antioxidants which can help with heart health and many more. They are also great for those who are watching their weight and blood sugar level.

What You Need for Strawberry Chocolate Greek Yogurt

Strawberry Chocolate Greek Yogurt

There’s just something about strawberry and chocolate that makes it the perfect combination, doesn’ t it? Even something as simple as a whole strawberry, when you dip it in chocolate, it becomes even more heavenly. If you are a fan of yogurt, then you can try making your own strawberry chocolate Greek yogurt. This recipe is very easy to make and can even be accomplished by those who are not used to cooking or baking.

What makes this great is that you also do not need fancy gadgets like an ice cream machine to make this. All you will need is a blender where you will combine all the ingredients. And you’ll only need five ingredients for this treat! Have a go at it and this will surely become one of your favorite summer desserts.

You will need about half a cup of almond milk, a cup and a half of frozen strawberries, 1 cup of Greek yogurt, a tablespoon of sugar (or any sweetener of your choice) and a tablespoon of cocoa powder. Just combine everything and blend them to the consistency that you want.

One can eat this right away after blending, but if you want it harder you can freeze it to get a firmer texture. You can easily swap the ingredients if you want more variety. If you have no Greek yogurt at home, you can just use plain yogurt in the same exact amount.

Other Strawberry recipes you can enjoy

Now that you’ve learned one strawberry recipe, don’t stop there! These summer fruits are so versatile and can be used for a variety of recipes. You can have them for breakfast, lunch, snack or even dinner. They can be eaten on their own or added in meals like salads, smoothies and of course, desserts.

We’ve listed down a few strawberry recipes that you might want to try.

Strawberry Poke Cake

Last but not the least in our list of the best strawberry desserts is the strawberry poke cake. This dessert will surely catch the eye of everyone in the table so make sure to learn this in time for a special event.

Don’t be intimidated by the name. Poke cake simply means that you will poke holes into the cake after it is baked and cooled, then you will add filling then top it with some whipped cream and more fresh strawberries.

The filling you can use here can be something as simple as strawberry syrup or condensed milk, or you can make it fancy and add some strawberry pie filling. Others also make use of gelatin for a different texture.

You can make this advance, but we would advise you not to put the frosting yet. Just add that and the fresh strawberries on the day you will eat it.

Strawberry Ice Cream

Strawberry Ice Cream

What’s summer without having ice cream? They’re the perfect treat on a hot day. Strawberry ice cream is great because it is both sweet and refreshing. While there is a way to make ice cream without the ice cream machine, you might want to invest in a machine instead. Not only would it be easier on your part, but the texture is just better with a machine.

For this recipe, don’t forget to add chunks of strawberry and dark chocolate as the combination of these two will really make a good contrast. If you will be making a big batch, try to divide the output into several containers. That is because if you do not finish the whole thing and try to put it back in the freezer after it has almost melted, you might be risking your health when you eat it.

Strawberry Pie

Strawberry Pie

If ice creams are a favorite summer treat, pies are just comfort food for many people. While many consider the apple variety as their favorite one, you still can’t go wrong with a strawberry pie.

If you are still a novice baker, don’t worry as this recipe is not intimidating at all, even if you have to make the pie crust yourself. The crust is attained by just blending some cinnamon with butter, flour, sugar, and salt. After which you just need to refrigerate it for at least three hours.

You will then need to make both the cheesecake filling and the strawberry filling. The combination of these two is just heavenly! If you are pressed for time and not yet confident in your baking skills, you can always the no-bake version.
