How to make heavy cream at home?

How to make heavy cream at home is a doubt when we plan to try a new recipe.You may have seen many recipes with heavy cream as an ingredient.
Yes,we can buy heavy cream from a super market.
Instead,this is the substitute for heavy cream.It is really easy and you only need butter and fresh milk as ingredients.Blend or mix milk and butter well once butter is melted on a cooker.

This measurements will be equal to one cup of heavy cream.


How to make heavy cream at home

Ingredients:
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup butter
Method:
Melt the butter.
Mix milk with butter & stir well.(use a blender to mix milk and butter)
Use in place of one cup of heavy cream

Actually I haven’t try this for cupcakes icing.So I am not sure how it would be.But it was good with some desserts…

I use raw milk (store bought fresh milk as it is,not boiled)

This can be used where whipping isn’t required because ‘blending’ doesn’t emulsify the fat as it is in original heavy cream. No mousse out of this I am afraid :/ Works in ganache, though.
