Best Kitchen Appliances to Make Cooking Easy

Today, enjoying a delicious meal can definitely be considered a luxury. With how competitive and challenging our days have become, one won’t have the time to contemplate on what to cook or even have the time to do the actual process of cooking. Thus, most of us resort to fast food restaurants or the instant meals to fill our starving bellies. However, processed and instant foods can taste stale and dull as time passes by. Furthermore, they can also be harmful to our health and might even cause bigger problems inside our bodies.  That is why it is very important to mix some cooked and healthy meals in your diet in order to balance things out. If you really don’t have the time to properly prepare and cook a decent meal, then you might as well buy a microwave that will allow you to cook and eat delicious and healthy meals in matter of minutes. Yes, you’ve read that right, with a microwave, you can definitely eat healthy and delicious meals in a short time. While not everybody is familiar with microwaves and its features, it can definitely work wonders if you know how to take advantage of its functions. And to help you with that, here are 5 tips to cooking with a microwave.

Tips for Cooking with a Microwave

1. Fresh Vegetables

Yup, with a microwave, you can enjoy fresh vegetables within a few minutes. With some microwave-safe wrapper, a microwave-safe bowl and probably some water, boiling or steam cooking your vegetables is possible. Furthermore, doing it in the microwave can preserve its nutrients and raw taste (if you prefer) compared to cooking it in a pan with a stove.

2. Cook eggs

Did you know that cooking eggs is possible in a microwave? Yes, it is definitely possible. This magical trick can be done easily. For sunny-side-up fried eggs, all you have to do is to preheat your microwave plate, add some butter and add the egg and some salt. For poached eggs, add some water on the microwave bowl and crack the egg on it and cook for about 1 minute and tada!

3. Never use containers that have corners

Squares and Rectangular shaped containers are a big no-no for microwave cooking. Even if it’s’ microwave safe and is on sale, you should never buy these types of microwave containers. This is because microwave containers that have corners unevenly cooks or heats the food on it, most of the heat is concentrated on the corners which tends to overcook or heat the food on those spots. Always choose round or oval shaped microwave containers as they evenly spread the energy or heat from the microwave.

4. Baking in a microwave

Yes, baking in microwave is possible, and most people don’t know it. So if you are into baking cookies and even cakes then you can easily fulfill that fantasy with a microwave oven or convection oven. Although, take note that not all microwaves can bake. Microwaves that have baking features are usually convection types. Anyways, the salesperson will surely pinpoint this fact once when you buy a microwave.
