In Little India, it is not difficult to find Indian sweets. There are many shops that sell Indian sweets for really competitive rates. Moghul Sweet Shop is one such place that we visit to buy Indian sweets because of its quality including food taste. Other than tasting Indian food, we can always find similarities between some Sri Lankan sweets and Indian sweets. Therefore, whenever we want to taste Sri Lankan sweets, we find Indian sweets as the best alternative if I don’t have time to cook those at home.
Moghul Sweet Shop is located at Little India Arcade and it is easy to buy sweets from a collection of different Indian sweets. I visit this shop to buy sweets for April New year and even for some special occasions. Indian sweets such as Adhirasam and Jalebi are more similar to Sri Lankan Athirasa and Pani Walalu. Luckily, these sweets are available at Mogul Sweet Shop which makes it easier for us to buy. 🙂
About Mogul Sweet Shop
Mogul Sweet Shop’s history goes back to 1996. According to its website, it is also the first and oldest Indian sweet shop in Singapore.

While there are a variety of sweets available at this sweet shop, Ladoos, Gulab Jamun and Burfis are worth mentioning. We even buy sweet Boondi from this shop which is another Indian and even Sri Lankan delicacy.
Our Experience
As I mentioned at the beginning of this post, our experience with the Mogul Sweet Shop is so far so good. Other than the food taste and quality, the service is friendly. Usually, we don’t have to wait for a long time to order sweets which is another plus point. 🙂 They offer home delivery as well.
These reasons make us visit this sweet shop again and again.
