Chapathi / Chapati is another Indian Flat Bread which use Whole Wheat Flour. These days I look for new recipes, which I can adapt with my everyday Sri Lankan Cooking.
This is another delicious recipe I found & adapted from Indian Cuisine.
Ingredients (for 3- 4 Chapati)
2 cups of Whole Wheat Flour (Atta Flour)
2 tsp of cooking oil or butter.
¾ tsp Salt (or to taste)
Water –as needed
Method:
First mix flour with 2 tsp oil.
Add salt, Then add water slowly and knead well until get a soft dough.
Make small balls from the dough.
Keep them aside for 20-30 minutes.
Apply some flour on a cutting board.
Then roll out the balls into thin circles.
Heat a non-stick pan & place the Chapathi.Cook one side until you see the bubbles appear. Then turn the other side & cook for another few seconds.
Cook both sides on medium flame
This goes well with any spicy curry.
