Pineapple Juice for a Hot Summer Day!

written by Amila Gamage Wickramarachchi March 10, 2015

Pineapple Juice for a Hot Summer Day
Pineapple Juice for a Hot Summer Day
Summer is reaching. It is time to enjoy a tropical fruit. I’ve shared many papaya juice recipes before. So, this time it is another tropical fruit. I guess you like to taste a pineapple juice this time.

Pineapple Juice for a Hot Summer Day
If you remember the First Birthday Party we had, after the party we had lot of leftover. Some were fresh fruits which we served for dessert. Next day, I used those in different recipes to minimize the wastage. A fruit juice is a better way to enjoy more fruits than eating as fresh fruit. So, this is one of the juices I tried with the leftover pineapple.
Pineapple healthy benefits
If you like to know some healthy benefits of pineapple before trying it, here are some of the benefits we can get to our body by consuming pineapple.
  • Pineapple is rich with Bromelain which is so effective at digesting protein. Therefore this tropical fruit has amazing digestive qualities making it a good choice for those who try to lose weight.
  • Pineapple is also an excellent source of vitamins A and vitamin C.
  • Pineapple is a fiber rich fruit. Due to This fibrous nature of pineapple, it is also popular as a fruit to relieve constipation.
Pineapple Juice for weight lose
Anyway, even without considering all these healthy benefits of pineapple, it is a great tropical fruit to beat the heat. Try this drink recipe in a sunny day to refresh yourself!
Ingredients (2-3 serving)
1/2 of medium size pineapple
2 glasses of water
Ice cubes
Sweetener if use(optional)
Directions
Remove the skin of pineapple.
Chop Pineapple into bite size pieces.
Add water and pineapple chunks in a blender.
Blend it till smooth.
Add a sweetener if you use.
Anyway, I didn’t add any sweetener. Instead, we enjoyed the natural taste of pineapple.
Strain the drink to serving glasses.
It is ready to serve with ice cubes (or chill it before serving.)
Enjoy!

Do you like Pineapple juice as a summer drink?

I don’t know about summer because the weather over here is playing sparks – one day hot burning sun and next you know heavy lashing of rain. I love pineapples any time. Of course juicing is simply good. I would like to have a glass right now.

I wouldn’t add sweetener either. Great idea to use a blender rather than a juicer.

I prefer a blender rather than a juicer that way you are keeping some of the fibre. I also wouldn’t add sugar or sweetener.

That looks delicious! Pineapple juice is usually too sweet for me to drink by itself, but I do like splashing it in a summer cocktail every so often.
