Most people do not consume enough water on a daily basis. Your body needs at least 64 ounces of water a day to remain hydrated and fully functioning. Drinking mineral water has many benefits. The reason for this is that your body requires water for hydration throughout the day to function to the best of its ability. People tend to choose to drink other beverages such as tea, coffee, soda, and juice over water. One way to remedy this is to drink sparkling mineral water which will give you the enjoyment of carbonation like a soda but will hydrate like only water can. This article will further discuss the top three benefits to drinking mineral water.

1.Your body needs minerals.

It is true. Your body needs minerals such as salt, sulphates, magnesium, and other vitamins to ensure that it is fully functioning. Minerals can help strengthen bones, contribute to muscle development and growth, and helps with one’s blood sugars and blood pressure levels. Sparkling mineral water can contribute to as much as 110 milligrams of magnesium per liter ingested. That means that by drinking just one liter of sparkling mineral water you are getting almost 30% of the daily allotted value of magnesium that your body requires.

2. Helps you stay hydrated.

Drinking upwards of 64 ounces of water a day can be a tough goal to reach, especially if you like to drink soda and iced tea. One way that you can marry the two beverages of choice is by drinking sparkling mineral water. You can purchase it with a flavor or drink it plain with light carbonation. Many choose to drink sparkling mineral water as it is more enjoyable than a glass of tap water. It offers more flavor as well. Because it is more flavorful and enjoyable to drink, you are more likely to drink more of it which will keep you hydrated throughout the day.

3. Drinking water is great for your health.

Not only will water help to flush out toxins from your body, but it will also help you maintain better cardiovascular health. You may not realize that your body requires water to have good blood flow, help itself cool down, moisten the eyes and noise, and helps with muscle function and joint health. Water is a critical component to one’s life and it is often overlooked for other beverages that add no value to one’s existence other than tasting good. Because water can taste quite bland which can contribute to why it can be quite a challenge to entice people to drink it, it can be livened up with flavoring. Some choose to drink their water with lemon while others enjoy a cool cucumber or strawberry mixture. Drinking water with lemons, cucumber, and berries can become expensive to keep up with. Instead, people are choosing more than ever to drink flavored sparkling mineral water.

I have never been a fan of mineral water, I just think I would be wasting money on buying bottled water. Maybe I should give it a try.

For me, drinking water relieves migraine. I will know if I’m not drinking enough water during the day. It’s when my head starts to hurt (caused by dehydration). So I really try to drink 8 glasses of water a day and make it a habit.

Yes,I also experience headache when I am dehydrated.I try to drink more water throughout the day to keep me hydrated.

I have definitely got a lot better at drinking water and liquids but I still need to be drinking more. I agree that it is so important to stay hydrated, even in winter and this is something that we need to bear in mind.

I usually drink bottled or filtered (tap) water, but I am going to give mineral water a try. Magnesium and potassium are such important minerals that are commonly deficient in my blood work, so it was nice to read that mineral water can help with that!

I wish I was better at drinking water. I really really wish I was but it literally the last thing I reach for whenever I am thirsty! I suppose if I force myself into drinking it then my body would get used to it and I would start to crave it?
