Basic Egg Omlette

written by Amila Gamage Wickramarachchi July 16, 2011

Egg omlette is always easy to make quick dish.
It works well with a nonstick pan.

Ingredients (for 1 omlette)

1 egg
1 medium sized onion choped
1 green chilli chopped
pinch of salt
1 tsp butter

Method

Crack the egg.

Add chopped onion, chilli & salt & beat well.

Heat a nonstick pan on medium heat.Add butter.

Once the butter in the pan melts, pour the beated egg mix.

Do not stir.

Allow to cook about 1 minute until the bottom is set.

Then using a spatula (rubber spatula is better) ,turn the omlette upside down. This will help to cook the upside.

Let it cook another 1 minute & switch off the burner.

Now the omlette is ready to serve.
