Potato wrapped in cabbage leaves

written by Amila Gamage Wickramarachchi September 14, 2011

I dont know what is the correct name for this.I just cooked this for tea time & it was wonderful.
I am a lover of fresh vegetables. So I like  the taste of cabbage leaf with spicy mashed potato.

Ingredients (makes 4-5 wraps)

1 potato boiled
4-5 leaves of green cabbage
1 onion sliced
1 green chilly sliced
1 tsp chilly powder
1-2 tbspn oil
Salt & pepper to taste
Few tooth picks

Method
Wash & clean green leaves of cabbage. And again wash with salt water.
Keep aside to drain water.
Mash potato. Mix chili powder & salt & pepper with it.
Heat the oil in a pan & when the oil is hot, add onion & green chili
When they are tender add the mashed potato mix & mix well.
Now the filling is ready.

Now keep the leaves on a plate.
Add about a spoon of this mix on a leaf.
Wrap & tie with a tooth pick.
The potato wraps are ready to serve.
