Vegetable Pulav Rice (Pulao Rice)

Ingredients (for 2 portions)
Long grained rice 2 cups
1 carrot
1 potato
1 green chilly
1 onion
2 cloves,Bay leaf,star anisee,cinnamon stick,1 cardomom
Chicken stock (optional)
Salt to taste

Method:
Wash rice & keep it to drain in a strainer
Chop carrot ,potato,chilly & onion.Better to chop in to cubes or bit bigger pieces
Heat oil -3 to 4 tblsp in a pan

Fry cloves, cinnamon, bay leaf, star anisee,cardamom

Then add chopped onions and green chillies. Fry for 2-3 minutes.

Add chopped carrots, potatoes,salt and fry for few minutes. It should not be fully cooked.
Add rice to the pan & mix all well.
Then cook rice in a rice cooker or in the same pan by adding correct amount of water.(add chicken stock – optional)
Serve hot.
