We usually like seafood and specially prawns.Once I cooked prawns by preparing a ground spices paste including red chili. It was spicy, but still good as a spicy seafood dish.Though the name says chili sauce,I didn’t use any store bought chili sauce.Instead I allowed to cook chili paste and tomato until it become a sauce and after that I added prawns.
In Sri Lanka Chinese recipes are much popular. However, most of the Chinese recipes need different sauces which you have to balance to get the correct taste.Instead of using many such sauces, try a recipe like this to use the natural ingredients from the Sri Lankan kitchen.Who says you cant make sauces easily using the ingredients in a typical Sri Lankan kitchen? This is of course healthier than using store bought sauces. 🙂 Anyway, check this devilled prawns recipe if you love to try different Sri Lankan Chinese recipes! 🙂
