Simple food garnishing

Tomato Rose

written by Amila Gamage Wickramarachchi July 15, 2011

Making a Tomato Rose is very easy & less time consuming. However it will change the appearance of your salad or any food.

Only what you need is a red tomato, a sharp knife & peeling skills.
Start from the top of the tomato. Peel the skin of tomato with a sharp knife. Keep the peel is about   ¾ inches – 1 inch wide.

Continue this peeling & take the continuous peeled skin.
Then roll up the peel.

The set the rolled peel on a plate & allow it to open.
It will look like a beautiful flower.
You can add some more beauty to your garnish by adding few mint leaves or some other edible leaves as leaves of tomato Rose.
