Sambal is a chilly based sause. It is found in many cuisine of many south east Asian countries including Singapore,Malaysia & Indonesia. Chillies are crushed with shrimps & make into a paste & it is called sambal. However it can be bought in many groceries.
Also you can add some soy sause,but then the colour will turn dark.
This is how it came out when I prepared with adding soy sause.(Can add about 1 tbs soy sause & fry well,but because soy sause is saltish,then do not add salt)
